AGATE Coasters!!

I've been meaning to write about our bar accessories more often on this blog.
Our purple agate coasters received a nod in the BOSTON GLOBE this weekend.
These coasters are very thin slices of Brazilian agate. The purple is their real color, not dyed. Amazing-but true.
What's even more perfect, is that each coaster has feet on the bottom so they wont scratch up your table.
They retail for $12.50 each.
**NOTE: We sold through our coasters-but will be receiving a new shipment this Friday, 3/20**

Antique Haveli Fragments

The term Haveli describes several private and beautiful mansion-like compounds in Pakistan and Northern India. Haveli’s are particularly known for their hand-carved stone frescoes, which depict images of gods and goddesses, animals, or life stories.

We have two c. 1800, hand-carved Haveli stone fragments available at the store. These pieces would look gorgeous on a deck or in a garden. They can be used to hold a small votive or incense, or stand alone as works of art.

Approximate dimensions are 14.5”H x 11”L x 7.5”D. They retail for $250 each.
Stop by to take a look!

Ward Bennett: American Industrial Designer

Born in Manhattan in 1917, Ward Bennett was one of the earliest American designers to introduce industrial materials into the home. Today his designs are celebrated at the Interior Design Hall of Fame and through a permanent collection at MOMA.
One of the prime examples of his work includes his 1963 “Sled Chair.” This piece has a woven-cane seat cradled between a criss-crossing chrome frame.

We have one available at ACQUIRE now. It retails for $350 (a steal!!) so stop by to check it out!

Holy Smokes Batman!

Look at this FABULOUS vintage lamp we just got into the store!
I really, really debated about keeping this gem for myself, but 2009 is all about passing it on, so here's my gift to you all.
If this lamp looks familiar, it's because one just like it was featured in the Domino magazine spread of Kelly Wearstler's home back in the October 2008 issue.
The lamp is copper plated and is in AMAZING condition for it age.
And....it works perfectly!
This gem measures 29" high and we are selling it for $265.

Vintage Barware

In the 1920’s and 30’s seltzer was wildly popular in the US, typically served at bars and restaurants in elegantly etched glass bottles. Many of these antique seltzer bottles have survived over the years and have become a popular collectible.

They can be found in a range of colors and sizes, with either acid etching or applied color labels displayed on the outside. Vintage seltzer bottles look great in groupings on a bar, in a kitchen, dining room or anywhere else you would like to display a beautiful piece of nostalgia. Try grouping them with contemporary glass pieces to achieve a more modern look.

Our bottles retail for $50 each. Stop in or email us to see our collection!
